ANZAC DAY MARCH

ANZAC DAY 2024 LEST WE FORGET 

 Coffs Harbour Scout Group will be Marching Proudly in the Coffs Harbour ANZAC day march.

Those participating in the March we will be Meeting at the Skate Park end of Park Ave Between 8.30 and 8.45 

The March proceeds down Park Ave along Gordan Street and into Vernon St to the Cenotaph for the ANZAC Service. All Scout Members are to wear full Uniform, pants in either black, Navy blue or tan and covered shoes, it may be wet so a rain coat hand is also a great idea. 

After the service, the CEX club supplies a children's lunch for those that marched. Parents welcome to walk along side the March and collect your child after the service which will likely go for approximately 1 hour

Thursday 11th April CUBS & JOEYS

Its excursion time... Bring your green thumbs we are off to the community gardens at Bruce King Drive.

Please note change to drop off and pick up times. 

Also please make sure you have responded to the operoo.

Red Shirts This Week. Please bring a raincoat, water bottle and a head torch.

Drop off 5.30pm Thursday pick up 6.30 at the Community Gardens Bruce King Drive.

Pizza And Survival Shelters

   Scouts Wednesday 10 April 2024

 Since we ran out of time last week (Sorry Guys) we are going to actually build some shelter's this week.

If everyone can bring an every day item that they think can be used for providing shelter, something that's in your bag, car, house or even your boat if you own one.

Please bring $5 for pizza and drinks. 

We will also have some Sausage survival snacks for people who don't eat pizza.

Meet at the hall for a 6.30 start pick up 8.30. Red shirts and 

please bring a water bottle, raincoat and head torch

Navigation & Survival Night

This week we will start learning about Survival and what it means.

First off we are learning about shelter and how to find out where you are...

Please bring a phone with data services if you have one.

Also if everyone can bring an every day item that they think can be used for providing shelter, something that's in your bag, car, house or even your boat if you own one.

Meet at the hall for a 6.30 start pick up 8.30. Red shirts and please bring a water bottle, raincoat and head torch be cause we will be going for a walk.

Badge Work & Games Night

This week we have a few new cubs to Invest, a little bit of badge work

and Galah has the new patrols ready to roll.

Drop off 6pm Thursday pick up 7.30 at the Scout hall.

RASOREE Camp this Friday!!!

 SCOUTS - Due to scouts camping at RASOREE this weekend there will be no scouts tonight.

Those coming to RASOREE camp, you should have received a pack containing instructions for drop off and pick up. There will be a lot of foot traffic around those time so please be patient and observe the traffic controllers. We ask that Parents deliver your scouts to the campsite. Please don't just drop them off in the car park. Vehicles must travel at walking pace. Please arrive in full uniform.

Please arrive anytime after 5pm Friday or if your arriving Saturday morning please send your respective leaders a text message when you will be arriving.

Closing Parade is at 12:30 Sunday if you wish to attend. Depart 1:00pm.

All scouts are required to shower over the weekend. Water shoes as well.

You will be getting dirty and wet, so please bring enough change of clothes and at least 2 towels. 

If you have your own tent please bring it.

Group night - THURSDAY 14th March

 Joeys, Cubs, Scouts and Ventures.

This week at scouts we will be having an ALL sections scout night.

This THURSDAY night from 6:00 to 7:30

Wear your full uniforms and get ready for some great scouting fun. There will be games.

This will also be a Rasoree info night to sort out tents, and who you would like to buddy with.

We'll fine tune the menu and talk about what gear to bring.
