Joining Coffs Harbour Joeys, Cubs, Scouts, Vents

So you might want to join Coffs Harbour Scout Group, that is great, below we step you through what comes next.

First contact the section, details are on the blog along with ages so you can identify the correct section. The section leader will be able to advise if we have space, answer questions you may have and let you know when you could attend with your child.

Paperwork.
You will need to fill in the Application for Youth Membership, these are online, simply search for the form which is available from Scouts NSW, specifically choose the online version. The form must be submitted in advance of your child attending, if you come along without completing it you will need to complete it on arrival at the hall, access to a computer is available.

The Application for Youth Membership form is the details Scouts needs about you, we need a parent/guardian to sign it digitally.

For all parents who will be attending or helping out in the hall regularly, and for every adult attending an overnight camp you also need to complete another form and provide a Working With Children Check number. Leaders can provide more information about this. We ask that all Joeys and Cubs have at least one parent/guardian complete this at joining please.

Trial period
Not everyone is suited to scouting, so you get up to 4 weeks to come along before you commit.

Now the fees.
Pay the fees by direct deposit as per the fees link on the blog.  New Cubs. Scouts and Venturers cost $265 to join.  Joeys are $250.  You will need to pay the full amount, not part thereof, before you're invested into the scout group.

Once you have paid, region will register your child.  You can then collect their uniform and they will be invested into Coffs Harbour Scouts.
